In 2011, Jeremiah Vickery joined forces with Justin Walker to form Adalant, the Emmett, Idaho-based financial services firm. Having transitioned from a corporate career in the specialty automotive industry, Jeremiah knew from the start that in financial services, he again would become a specialist. He chose to focus his practice on the retirement planning needs of businesses and invested his time and energy on learning all there was to know about this aspect of financial planning. Jeremiah proceeded to obtain the Certified Retirement Planning Specialist designation (CRPS): he is one of only a handful of financial service professionals in Idaho with this credential.
"I've always enjoyed working with money, and understood how it works," says Jeremiah. "One of the things I have observed throughout my career is that people have the opportunity to spend everything they earn," he says. "Unless you have a sounding board with options and recommendations as to what you should save and invest, you really don't know…. you may end up taking what your buddy is doing as what you should be doing," he explains. "What's right for one person, isn't necessarily appropriate for another."
As the resident retirement and investments specialist at the firm, Jeremiah works with business owners to design, plan, and implement retirement solutions that align with their company's goals. He also insists on meeting with every single employee for a personal consultation to ensure that they understand the benefits made available to them. "Many advisors simply offer group meetings, but we believe in meeting with employees on a one-on-one basis to help further their individual financial goals," says Jeremiah.
Outside of running the busy practice, Jeremiah is passionate about the community he now calls home. He is heavily involved in organizing the annual Cherry Festival parade; he is a member of the Board at the Gem County Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Board for the Gem County Economic Development Foundation.
Jeremiah and his wife, Lynsie, live in Emmett. They operate a small farm, and are pleased to raise their children in this peaceful community. Jeremiah, who was once a professional ski coach, still loves to ski. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing with his family at their cabin, and traveling the world.
